The NGO Committee on the Status of Women, (a 501(c)3) charitable corporation in the State of New York, was established in 1972 as a substantive committee of the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Status with the United Nations (CoNGO).

At this time, the NGO CSW/NY can only accept checks issued in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank.
